Louella Ibekwe’s Story

She previously worked in operations as a caseworker for the Civil Service. However, in 2017 she decided to into the field of HR.

With no idea about the field of hr, but after doing a lot of research, she chose the CIPD Level 5 as she was highly dedicated to gaining the recognised qualification.

Moreover, she managed her qualification alongside her job, which was often challenging, but she chose to work hard for the CIPD qualification.

Even in the time of travelling, she would do research and make notes. What helped her to study was that she allotted time for studying each day.

Getting cipd qualified gave her a lot of expertise and skills in the field of hr. Just after one month on the job, she became a talent manager and got hired.

Beyond the course content, she benefited from the CIPD membership. Because of the membership, it became easy to access articles, guidance materials, and case studies.

The advice she gave for someone who is considering taking the CIPD qualification was to research the qualification extensively, understand the time commitment for it, and also take advice from those who have experience in it.

She stated that “Think about your preferred learning style. My qualification involved team learning days, and this gave me a wonderful opportunity to meet both current and aspiring HR professionals from the private, public, and third sectors. The group learning worked well for me as it meant I could learn how HR is delivered and structured in other sectors, and we could share best practice, which proved invaluable.”

2. Amelia’s Story

After spending years fundraising in the charity sector, she started losing interest in her work and then she realised she is more passionate about supporting people internally, i.e, developing teams, managing and resolving workplace issues.

“I was already informally doing HR type tasks,” she explains. “Managing volunteers, handling performance concerns; it was all there. I just didn’t have the qualifications or confidence to call it HR.” That is when Amelia chose to take the CIPD Level 5 diploma. With this qualification, she became aware of the broader and operational aspects of hr.

But as she returned to education after years, her ability to learn was low.

“There were moments I questioned myself. The assignments were tough, especially the ones involving metrics,” she says.

After struggling with her assignments, she took HR assignment help, and with guidance, she started applying her practical skills to her theoretical content. With time, her confidence grew and now she is hr officer in a non-profit organization.

From her story, I can say that changing careers can be challenging, but with the right mindset and assistance, one can always start a new career.

3. Ellie’s Story

Ellie graduated with a degree in business and hr management and went into an hr graduate scheme at a large brand. She was passionate about her job but often felt nervous in meetings with seniors.

“Everyone seemed so confident. I was afraid of saying the wrong thing, so I stayed quiet; even when I had good ideas,” Ellie admitted. Actually, she had little grasp of hr theories.

To increase her understanding of theories and to boost strategic thinking, she enrolled in the CIPD Level 7 Advanced Diploma.

The syllabus was complex with topics like organisational design, HR analytics, and leadership development.

“I struggled with applying theory to practice. I knew the models, but I wasn’t sure how to use them in real scenarios,” she said.

Then Ellie decided to seek assistance from CIPD assignment Help UK.it helped to develop analytical skills and strategic thinking. Also, she learned how to evaluate hr strategies.

From being doubtful to confident, her story also inspires a lot of students.

4. Weronika’s Story

After a challenging period in both her personal and professional lives, Priyanka’s interest in HR was more than just a career choice; it was a part of her life.

Before taking maternity leave, she had six years of experience in recruitment. However, her role had changed considerably by the time she returned. She was fired shortly after, which completely weakened her self-confidence.

“It seemed as though I had to start over from scratch.”

Priyanka applied for jobs unsuccessfully for months. The comments were consistently the same: excellent experience, but not up to date. She decided to get back control at the time by signing up for the CIPD Level 5 Diploma.

The thought of studying, especially while taking care of a toddler, seemed hard at first. However, Priyanka viewed the certification as a means of creating her sense of worth alongside a professional step.

“It provided me with a sense of direction. Each assignment I turned in felt like a small victory, a reminder that I was still important and had something to contribute.”

She was able to rediscover her passion for HR through the modules.

However, balancing study, job searching, and parenthood wasn’t simple.

Six months after completing the diploma, Priyanka secured a role as a People and Culture Advisor at a tech startup.

“The qualification gave me my voice back. It reminded me that my career wasn’t over; it was evolving.”

To conclude, whether you’re changing careers, balancing family life, your journey through a CIPD qualification is uniquely your own.
